- HACCP Colour Coding For Cleaning
There is a very clever reason for our new colour coded Dosco cleaning range being colour coded.
Aside from the fact that it can look good to colour match your cleaning range, the Dosco colour coded range is HACCP compliant so it can be used in industry and small businesses.
HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points.
HACCP is an internationally recognised management system that should be adhered to in business in order to maintain a high standard of health, hygiene and safety in the workplace.
In these modern days, many of us know about cross contamination. We have all seen the TV adverts about the spread of germs and bacteria. HACCP guidelines ensure that by colour coding equipment we can ensure they are not used in the wrong department. For example, a brush used on a restaurant floor will not be the same brush used in the toilets and washrooms.
For cleaning equipment, the colour coding guidelines are:
RED:
Suitable for Sanitary Fittings & Washroom Floors
YELLOW:
Suitable for Wash Basins & Washroom Surfaces
GREEN:
Suitable for General Food & Bar Use
BLUE:
Suitable for General Low Risk Areas
