Carrot Seeds - F1 Eskimo
Carrot Seeds - F1 Eskimo
The most frost-tolerant variety bred so far. On well-drained soils, you can leave some roots in the ground through the winter and dig as required. In heavy soils you may need to lift them late in the year, but they will store well. Good disease resistance. Sowing Information
Sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil at a depth of 13mm ( 1?2") in rows about 15cm (6") apart (Germination 15-20 days). Thin by degrees, using the small carrots for salad use. For larger roots carefully thin to 50-75mm (2-3") between plants.
Lift roots for storage in September/October or can be left in well drained soil until February/March.
Carrots grow best in a sunny position in well cultivated soil which has not recently been manured.
