Rustins Floor Varnish Satin in Medium Oak is a water-based, quick-drying, and highly durable varnish that provides a clear, non-yellowing finish with excellent resistance to water, spirits, and other liquids. This varnish is ideal for protecting wood floors while enhancing their natural beauty.

Surface Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, smooth, dry, and free of wax, dust, or contaminants.

• Fill small cracks or nail holes with Rustins Wood Filler.

• Do not apply knotting or sanding sealer, as these may interfere with adhesion.

• Bare wood can be dyed using Rustins Wood Dye before varnishing. (Other brands may not be compatible).

• Application Instructions:

• Stir the varnish well before use – do not shake.

• Using a synthetic brush or varnish roller, apply evenly and liberally, finishing in the direction of the grain.

• For concrete or dense stone surfaces, dilute the first coat 1:1 with water.

• Apply 2-3 coats for optimal protection and finish, allowing 2 hours drying time between each coat.

• Lightly sand between coats if necessary to ensure a smooth finish.
