Surface Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, or contaminants.

• Fill cracks, joints, or damaged areas with high-quality flexible filler.

• Wash oily woods, knots, or resinous areas with white spirit.

• Remove mould, algae, and moss using a scraper and domestic bleach, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry.

• For enhanced colour, apply Rustins Wood Dye before varnishing.

Application Instructions:

• Use a synthetic brush to apply evenly, finishing with the grain.

• Dilute the first coat with up to 15% water if applying externally on hot days.

• Avoid applying on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight for best results.

• Apply 3 coats, lightly sanding after the first coat if grain raises.

• Successive coats deepen the mahogany colour; to maintain shade, finish with clear varnish.
