A true giant. With a name like 'Giraffe' we expected these to be tall, but weren't prepared for just how tall! Initially they were level with the other giants, but then put on a spurt and climbed another metre to tower over their competitors. Each of the huge plants carried a single dinner-plate-sized flower that lasted for a few weeks but seemed a bit inconspicuous when they were so far away. Try them next year, and you'll impress the neighbourhood.'

Sowing Information
Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where plants are to flower, 13mm (1?2") deep (Germination 7-21 days). As the seedlings grow thin in stages to achieve a final spacing of 30cm-45cm (12-18"). For early blooms sow indoors in April, carefully acclimatise plants to outside conditions and plant out mid-late May. Grow in a well manured soil in a sunny position and keep moist. Alternatively, you can grow on the patio in 20cm pots.
