- A mixture of our favourite colours and flavours, from the earthiness of the striped Chioggia to the super sweetness of the white Albina Verduna.
Growing info:
- For early crops, sow a bolt-resistant variety March-April.
- For use in summer and autumn, sow suitable varieties from late April to July.
- Store roots in dry sand, soil, or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity).
Hints & tips:
- HEALTH BENEFITS: Rich in potassium and folate plus some vitamin C.
- CULINARY TIPS: Tops of young roots can be used as spinach.
